Project: Exterior and interior of a furniture showroom
A showroom represents a space with displayed certain products of goods intended for sale. These ‘goods’ can be a wide variety of objects from different industries, from automobiles to furniture. So no showroom interior design can ever be similar to another, given the wide range of products. The purpose of a showroom is quite multifaceted, which reflects onto its interior design according to the industry category. However, the basic concept of every showroom is to properly market its products for sale. When designing a showroom interior usually is taken in concern the branding, whose company logo can be used as a centerpiece in lavish spaces; brand color schemes, who can add an extra oomph to the design; brand’s most important products that have to be highlighted for sale, as well as customer experience atmosphere that includes social interactive interior design for unforgettable buying experience.
The interior space of the shown furniture showroom is divided into two floors, lower with the entrance partition and upper, linked between with indoor illuminated staircase. The ambiance in the whole salon is dark inspired by the dark logo of the brand, with dark walls covered with natural wood veneer as an elegant warm contrast to the gray tones, with a homogeneous floor covered with a special antibacterial dark carpet intended for public buildings. In the salon, kitchens and wardrobes are displayed separately in highlighted positions along the length of the walls in the interior, following the internal form of the space. Specific island podiums are carefully positioned central in the lower floor, highlighting the sale products but at the same time they don’t get in the way of the circulation pathways who accommodate the employees and the visitors. Upstairs is the reception area equipped with a soft seating section and a meeting table section. A transparent screen made from glass defines the working area which is positioned on a platform, equipped with working desks.
It is important to note that a visual connection is created between interior and exterior using a transparent completely glazed window display for marketing purposes. People tend to fall in love with items at first sight and that is the first rule to attract potential buyers.
