Sea is a natural resource that is often associated with relaxation and refreshment. Perhaps, this is precisely the reason why it is a common inspiration for designing interiors. By choosing the right materials, textures, colors, and patterns – the residential or commercial interior becomes a small maritime oasis. Blue is the color of calmness, meditation, relaxation, inspiration, communication. The harmonious composition of blue and white creates the essence of a relaxing lifestyle and serenity, elegance and special charm.

Blue color is the main inspiration while redesigning the shown residential interior. Bright tints of blue combined with the used earth tones in the room, create the illusion of more space. Nautical style design of a room involves the use of decoration and finishing materials that are associated with the sea, beach, ships, the fisherman and the mermaid. The interior wall covered in white stone placed in contrast with the blue wall surface gives a sense of rusticity and cozy ambiance associated with a sea cave. The natural wood flooring complements the other used furnishings such as panel furniture, draperies and carpet, all designed in shades of the sand, beige, light brown and gold accents, synchronized with the blue and white compositions that adds to the space the freshness of the sea, the warmth of the beach and the atmosphere of the sea voyage. The oval shaped club table from stone placed centrally in the open living space balanced with the dramatic wooden pillars positioned as a TV stand, serves as a general focal point of attention for the room and contributes to the visual weight of the interior design.
This residential interior with nautical style inspiration is a perfect refuge with a relaxation atmosphere and serenity, opposite the fast central city life where the apartment is located. Nautical style as interior design inspiration is simple, beautiful and bright, and it does not go out of fashion, becoming a classic. The marine style interior design is more about the finishing materials, accessories and used colors. Almost any interior can be easily turned into nautical or with marine accent just by adding a few decorative pillows. So, in a sense, this interior style is intended for experimentators and creative people.
